AGNES
DC Building project managed and built this large-scale renovation designed by architect Freda Thornton. We completely restored the period features in the front of the house and transformed the original cramped living spaces into an open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area with large French doors that allow the interior to flow onto the generous covered deck.
The result is a contemporary living space full of light that blends seamlessly with the remaining older features. Gorgeous spotted gum flooring has been used throughout the project to connect the old with the new, and the 100-year-old heritage facade is now back to its former glory after rebuilding the fret work and reinstating the front porch.
